Expand Your Skills in Martial Arts

Georgetown Taekwondo's Grappling program will take you to the next level of fighting expertise. A mix of several martial arts, grappling is a technique that does not feature any kicking or punching. Instead, the opponents work mostly on the mat, mastering pin and hold down positions, arm and leg locks, joint locks, choke holds, clinches, and escapes from these positions, as well as the art of winning a match by creating submission in one's opponent

Although grappling at Georgetown Taekwondo is taught by highly trained instructors, classes are not just for the serious competitor. Men and women can enjoy this addition to their Martial Arts skill set by learning in a safe environment that emphasizes respect for one's opponent. Students gain strength, balance, stamina, coordination, focus, and learn strategy that can help in many situations of self-defense. When the proper rules of grappling are followed, injury is very rare.

If you are interested in learning grappling as a serious competitor, Georgetown Taekwondo's classes are the place to start your training.
